You’re obviously here because you’re looking for the best ab exercises to help you get a six pack fast and as easy as possible. That makes good sense because what could be worse than sweating for hours on end only to look in the mirror after a month and not notice any difference at all.

The best ab exercises for men are slightly different to those for women for one main reason. The reason being that with most men it is a lot easier to incorporate free weights into an abs exercise routine as they don’t mind the side effect of building a muscular physique. However, most women are reluctant to add dumbbells or barbells because they just want the definition around the stomach and not muscular arms or legs for example.

It’s very important to also clarify the fact that as well as a good selection of exercises it is extremely important for the diet to be right. You can do all the abs exercises in the world but if you continue consuming high calorie foods and drinks with no nutritional benefit then you won’t see any improvement.

My personal opinion on the best ab exercises for men are:

1. Dumbbell Rows – This is a great exercise where you hold a dumbbell in each hand and get into the push up position. You then lift one arm up at a time to your chest while balancing on the other. This will not only give your abs an amazing workout but will also workout your biceps, triceps and back. This exercise will give you rapid results which you’ll see in the mirror within a week.

2. Squats – This is one of the most powerful compound exercises in the world. It more or less works your whole body and also has great cardio benefits as well. All you need to do is get a barbell and place it over your shoulders holding each end with your hands. You then just squat down and back up. This can be done without a barbell or weights but as you find it easier just add weight. This exercise will help you build some serious power as well, because it works the legs and back as well as the abdominal muscles. As they say a tree is only as strong as its trunk, so strengthen your legs and you’ll feel the difference in your whole body. It also raises the testosterone in your body which helps burn fat.

3. Russian Twist – Lie on a declined bench with your body in a straight line. Now lift your body in a semi circle motion from left to right, do this for 60 seconds and you’ll feel the burn. This is a seriously intense exercise, one of these is probably worth 10 sit ups.
