This is a very high quality set of dumbbells, much better built all (not to mention better looking) than the cast iron box art. They do not chip or make loud noise when struck together. There are some very minor things to note that the coverage wipped black oily on the rubber before use (if you remember a couple of black dots to contact them). Some rubber smell – not overpowering, but noticeable when entering the room. After a few weeks it is still there. I noticed the same smell at the gym and never heard anyone complain. Overall I'm very happy with the height of the box version.
I got the dumbbell in a wooden building near the delivery to the importance of individual boxes and packages. Not usually a problem only if it is raining and slowing far away from your door. The weights are made in China. They are very strong. While the stinky rubber smell to them, but it can easily be wiped out with Lysol wipe. The weight is very robust. The handle of the stainless steel handles quite rough so I recommend gloves workout is easy to get .. I must also say that they are relatively bulky. Looking back, can be fixed with the type of plate weight dumbbells, but I really do not want to stop to keep reconnecting with different weights and I'm in the middle of a workout. In order to deal with a shot, pick em up and training. I think after getting paid shipping about 750 bucks for these, again, in hindsight, I do not regret buying, but I personally would rather have someone look slimmer weight.I was a bit fooled by the picture, and not realize they would guess so bulky, and because I'm used to the weights at the gym and they are kind of training dumbbells positioned differently than that ..
I bought the weight of my son, age 16 years with P90X. They are very sturdy and well made. I hope they keep him for a lifetime. We took them to the Body-Solid 3-Tier Dumbbell Rack Horizontal and they fit perfectly. They come from a big box movers, so shipping expensive. But the full version with shipping less than buying them locally and after delivery. The only drawback is that the smell of rubber tires. Because they are not in the basement that are important to us. Over time, it should be, I believe, to reduce the smell.
